Making Child Wellbeing and Safety Your Responsibility Families Australia, supported by the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA), hosted the 2013 Child Aware Approaches Conference. The two day conference aimed to advance the goals of the second three year action plan 2012-2015 under the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009-2020 the National Mental Health Reform and the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022. The conference brought together people from government, non-government and research sectors to share innovative practices and resources and to contribute to the national campaign to make the wellbeing and safety of Australia's children everyone's business and shared responsibility. Developing Practice
The editors of Developing Practice are seeking original manuscripts for a Special Issue of Developing Practice planned for late 2013 on the theme of “Children’s perspectives”. They would like to invite papers from presenters at the Child Aware Approaches Conference who may wish to write up their conference presentation for publication. The deadline for submissions is 30 June 2013. Email c.tilbury@griffith.edu.au.
